Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or case number submitted through a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the request and supplies its results. Saline County Court Docket does not retain or log those search terms.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email or other direct message may be retained long enough to answer and maintain the related correspondence. It is not disclosed beyond the organization unless disclosure is legally required.
Data We Gather Automatically
Loading a page can cause the server to receive routine technical and usage information:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Which browser you are using and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
- The site that sent you here, if any
- Timestamps for each page view
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small device files used to understand traffic patterns, such as popular pages and common exit points. Analytics vendors may aggregate those measurements. Browser controls can block cookies, although disabling them may change how some features operate.
What We Do With This Data
- Operating, maintaining, and improving page performance
- Routing submitted searches to the selected outside provider
- Measuring which resources visitors use
- Diagnosing errors and security concerns
- Delivering advertising that may reflect user interests
No Court-Record Data on File
Saline County Court Docket does not host, maintain, assemble, or sell a database of court dockets or personal case information. It provides general directions to the Clerk of the District Court, the courts that hold Saline County records, and Kansas Courts CaseSearch. It is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not compiled into consumer reports or third-party profiles.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Information entered there is governed by that provider's privacy terms rather than this policy. Each provider controls its retention and disclosure practices, so review those terms before submitting a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to court and clerk pages, Kansas search systems, legal-aid resources, or outside search services. Once an external page opens, its operator's privacy policy applies. Review it before providing personal information.
Advertising providers may use their own systems to measure activity across websites and select interest-based ads. Their tracking practices are outside this site's control.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be disclosed to:
- Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
- Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable security measures are used for collected information. No internet service can guarantee absolute protection, so a security incident cannot be ruled out despite those safeguards.
Users Under 18
The service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. A verified report that a minor supplied information will be addressed by deleting that data.
Your Data Rights
Rights may vary by residence. Kansas residents may also have remedies under the Kansas Consumer Protection Act, K.S.A. 50-623 et seq., when that law applies. Regardless of location, a user may:
- Request access to personal information held about you
- Seek correction of inaccurate information
- Ask for deletion where applicable
- Object to or opt out of certain processing
Updates to This Policy
This policy may be revised as practices or legal duties change. A revised version will be posted here and identified by its new effective date.
